True Pathos

Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was apparently one depressed dude, posting his misery on the internet in the months ahead of his failed attempt to bomb an airliner full of travelers.

He had worries aplenty, with his devout religiosity (which is not being mocked here)in a secular world full of temptations.

However it appears that those terrorists in Yemen took advantage of Umar's worries about keeping his male urges under control, and talked him into wearing a bomb in his underwear.

Pharmer finds that just plain cruel, and the PUNCH, a Nigerian newspaper appears to be the only one correctly identifying where Umar got toasted. Yep, the worries about controlling those urges are now most likely moot.

Umar is likely seeing his fate as worse than death, and perhaps stands as the best warning to other would-be suicide bombers.

USCCB and CHA: the Language of Surrender on Abortion

The historical troubles of religious officials entering into politics shows plainly here in this Catholic News Service Article.

It appears impossible for the Bishops and Religious to hold themselves to Church teaching when giving opinion on legislation, or in determining which legislation would meet their standards.

The CNS article states the USCCB standard on abortion has been lowered to accept the killing of unborn humans claimed to be conceived as a result of rape or incest. These are exceptions allowable in the Hyde amendment which forbids federal funding for elective abortions.

The New York Times naturally has spun the activities of CHA to be surrendering to abortion in order to obtain the 'benefits' from further socialized health care.

While Sr. Carol Keehan claims that CHA has not strayed from its commitment to protect life from "conception" to natural death, this health care professional, knows better. CHA and USCCB have been working to pass health care to the control of a very corrupt, pro rationing and pro abortion government. The insanity of expecting the government to honor an agreement not to fund and coerce killing within health care is readily apparent. The current (too little - too late) protests against Obamacare have a false ring.

Sr. Carol Keehan Still Lost in the Weeds Regarding Abortive "Health" Care

Obama and Abortion have been so extremely attached for so long,  Pharmer expects Stedmans Medical Dictionary to rename the practice "OBORTION".

This year,  Sr. Carol Keehan, of the Catholic Health Association,  managed the same kind of lost in the weeds public statement as last year when she praised the (later aborted) appointment of Tom Daschle as HHS secretary.   One can understand some administrative need to get along with the government, but these public statements cause her to appear a bit ridiculous to those who watch the political machinations.

Here's what the Good Sister put out on December 17th, regarding the unfounded belief that Bob Casey ever shared any serious interests with prolifers, and that the Senate would be concerned with our respect for human life. 

More recently there is a too little, too late, statement that CHA agrees with the recent awakening of the U.S. Conference of Catholic  Bishops that public funding of abortion  and coercing the practice at the religiously run hospitals would be a bad idea.

Recent history has shown us that both the CHA and the USCCB have been willing to pass control of health care to people whom, as a group, are known to:
lie,
steal,
cheat on their taxes while demanding we pay,
accept bribes,
have association with the untimely deaths of ordinary citizens,
engage in personal practices which most of us find abhorrent,
favor health care rationing
abrogate the conscience rights of health care professionals who choose not to kill humans
favor, fund and obtain abortions
export the latter practice as population control for the "brown people" of the world.

Either the leaders of the CHA and USCCB are insane, or they have had  very short term economic issues in mind when attempting to get along with the slime of Washington DC.  It  is antithetical to good reason to hand over complete control of health care to a horribly corrupt institution, and expect for it to remain mostly  free from  the killing which the institution is known to favor.

Pharmer reminds the CHA and USCCB  that when their health care institutions no longer display any difference from the public institutions, the special social position and private funding which they have obtained will cease to exist.

Mutallab failed in his attempt to himself up aboard flight 253, due largely to the efforts of alert passengers, and in part due to his inexperience with handling explosives.   It remains to be seen how these passengers will be punished for saving all those aboard the aircraft, but past history suggests that some form of reprisal for this courageous  defense is pending.

After thirty minutes of brow beating one can usually obtain an admission from the abortion supporters that the question is not about  information gathered by science about the  formation of sexually reproducing organisms. Rather it is more often about their personal RELIGIOUS belief about when human life accrues value. The most honest ones might assert their own moral authority for determining which and when humans may be killed.  Contemplating this  reveals the abortion proponents  to be very scary neighbors.

Prayers for the many who mourn the passing of Evangelist Oral Roberts, and for his final peace with God.

This well known preacher had a life long interest in healing body and soul, to the extent of augmenting his preaching by opening a University and school of Medicine.  Pharmer remembers  that during the  eighties, this school  stood out as one of the few remaining which still held to a Hippocratic ideal of medical practice.   It unfortunately was closed due to financial difficulties, while the University which bears Oral Roberts name continues onward.

The Problem Was with Putting the Baby's Corpse Under The Christmas Tree

Strange but true........ the main social difficulty that our pro abortion law recognizes is that the corpse was placed under the Christmas Tree.  Throwing similar bodies in a dumpster, generally will not result in significant penalty, as those in the abortion industry are well aware.

Very briefly,  Ruby Lee Medina induced an abortion-by-early-delivery of her baby at 7 months gestation, using misoprostil  (a drug sometimes used in medical abortions following mifepristone or methotrexate).   Sometime during or after this procedure, the baby died, and the corpse was cleaned and placed under the Christmas tree at the abode shared with her significant other, Javier Gonzalez.

If early induction abortion is carried out in this manner at hospitals,  there is no legal problem so long as the baby is born dead.   If the baby is born alive, a law (rarely enforced) is in place to ensure that the infant is given care, and not killed or left to die of exposure. 

The Illinois version of the above mentioned federal law was vehemently opposed by the current commander in chief,  Barack Hussein Obama. 

In other words,   inducing an early delivery of a baby at late term, and leaving him or her to die is OK with Obama, and he might only have difficulty with the sanitary practices concerning temporary storage of the body under the Christmas tree.   Or he might have difficulty with calling a Christmas tree by that name.

Again, killing a late term baby shortly before, during or shortly after birth is OK by Obama.   So, if you voted for this monster,  let your hearts not be troubled, but perhaps write to object to any legal penalties for the couple who killed their baby at their home.

Keeping Schools Safe In Massachusetts

Remember that Massachusetts is the state in which high school students were transported to Tufts University in order to learn the art of Fisting.

In Massachusetts,  fisting is normal, and a good thing to teach to underage kids.

That 800,000 flu vaccines, targeted for kids, have been recalled by Sanofi Pasteur is Zero surprise to those who have been listening to  the Pharmer  nail another set of correct medical predictions to the wall.  

You can be absolutely certain that  instability has less to do with the subpotency than the pressure from the government to rapidly produce vaccine from this slow replicating H1N1 influenza A virus.

There is no report on how many kids have gotten the subpotent vaccine, due to the "story" that the vaccine has lost potency over time.   (Translation -- it was marginal in its production due to the attempt to stretch insufficient material into the production of millions of doses).   The lack of need for revaccination is due to the fact that the peak H1N1 season has passed -- before the late produced vaccines have had significant effect.

Government recovery from this latest mismanagement will be to claim that we were saved from the ravages of the Swine Flu by the efforts of Kathleen Sebelius teaching us  how to cough or sneeze into our elbows.

One might, by inference assume that since Jennings is considered a 'safe schools czar'  Obama, his boss, considers the GLSEN progams to be safe and appropriate for your children.

While the Duke University Health Center administration  finds it important to tell the students how to have anal intercourse properly  (as if this were possible) there is a caution AGAINST the  fisting  practices which GLSEN touted to the Massachusetts high school students. 

No plunges are  barred at Tufts, which has been excluded from consideration as an institution of higher learning for the progeny of Pharmer.

Remember Kevin Jennings, Obama's safe schools czar?   He's under fire now for promoting explicitly sick books for schoolkids to read.  Specifically it  is GLSEN, the organization Jennings founded and led,  which has done this work, and another organization called Mass Resistance has sunk it's teeth into GLSEN and Jennings, and will not let go.

The latest is a taped presentation by GLSEN to 14 year old kids, which includes a description of the process of fisting, an activity which is physically a bad idea for anyone, regardless of age.

Pharmer recommends to any people to whom This presentation is given, that they ask the presenters if they feel that this a significant cause of observed lower gastrointestinal disease, rectal tearing and fecal incontinence.  Also ask if Obama-care resources would be sufficient to deal with these troubles.

South Korean Obstetrician ends abortion practice

Dr. Shim Sang-Duk  used to perform  similar numbers of abortions and deliveries in his practice, in South Korea, which has one of the lowest fertility rates (1.19 live births per couple).  The physician initially became numbed by abortion, but eventually came to despise himself.   Gradually he began trying to persuade his patients against abortion, and finally ceased performing the operations altogether.  He has since formed an alliance with other physicians,  ~ 30 of which have ceased aborting, along with hundreds of supporters who are at perhaps some earlier  phase of development.
While there is considerable opposition to the physicians who won't abort, as well as loss of patient base, there are no legal hurdles for those who cease the practice in the nation where abortions remain technically illegal.
 
LA Times John M Glionna writes:

Dressed in his white lab coat, the bespectacled Shim embodies a new public consciousness against abortion.
In the lobby of his Ion clinic, a sign explains his new philosophy. "Abortions, which abandon the valuable life of a fetus, are the very misery for the nation and society as well as pregnant women, families and ob-gyn doctors," it reads.

For years, Shim rarely, if ever, even used the word "abortion." Rather, he said, he sought to "erase" or "prevent" the fetus.

"I bought into the government's argument that it was OK to do this," he said. "It was good for the country. It boosted the economy."

Still, Shim was often baffled by his patients' behavior: After receiving their abortions, he said, most women cried.

"Many patients cry when they give birth," he said, "but these were a different kind of tears."


Observing the introspective style of presenting abortion, found much more often in this years' news output, this blogger wonders if the media is beginning a phase of reinventing itself to address the changing culture.
